It looks bad overall. Is that supposed to be yamcha far off to the left? And why are there so many girls on the poster?? Ugh, i remember reading a thing too from Akira Toriyama talking about how he loves movies, but could never imagine making one.
Over the years I've enjoyed and loved Dragon Ball Z but when this came out my eyes melted into my brain
I try not to form a strong opinion on something until I've gathered enough information to make a proper decision. This means that I'll have to go see this stinker before I can properly back up my accusations.
The trailer, if you force out ANY knowledge of the Dragonball series out of your head, can become tolerable. Confusing, but tolerable. They're a bunch of pretty guys and pretty gals who found some magicky marbles. Then they fight a lot and look pretty while giant CG asplosions appear every 5 seconds.
Its a movie about Dragon Balls, I don't expect it to be Shakespeare
The worst part is that Nintendo is making a DS game of that movie D: First Street Fighter now this D:

They are just recycling special effects. You may notice simularities from both Dragonball and Street Fighter to have that whole...Chi power is the same. And the transforming capsules are recycled effects from Transformers.
And I'll bet Akira Toriyama must be PISSED.
I wasn't going to watch this nor the Chunli Movie but if it came down to the two movies I would have to watch the Chunli Movie. This movie looks like crap and so does the game. Was it so hard to get a KID to play as Goku and Not CHATWIN? Was it so hard to add more characters? WAS IT SO HARD TO JUST FOLLOW THE DANG MANGA!? Come on!

I saw the previews and instantly thought this was going to destory the DBZ Image. And from what I heard from some people it kinda did. They couldn't just leave DBZ alone because of the money they thought they could have made.
Insult to Akira Toriyama. Pissed off at the director who knows nothing about Dragon ball Z.
Goku's white, Roshi's not bald, no mention of Super Saiyan, no capsules, no Vegeta..I could go on.
I feel sorry for the new generation. They grow up with this crap.

A live action Dragonball was tried once, i believe it was back in the early 80's in Japan. It sucked then but at least stuck true to the origional story. Goku was a child, paled around with Bulma and so on. This... this dosent even make sence. Hes a high school kid? No backstory... they dont even hint at the fact that hes not even human. Roshi... the could have done a much better job with him, and the fact that they left out key roles, like Krillin pisses me off. Oh and WHERE THE HELL ARE PICCOLOS ANTENNA. This movie is crap, it was crap the last time it was tried, its gonna be crap now. Except that this time its gonna be American crap.
No fuck that movie it will ruin the series. People will say oh that's DBZ wow that's gay. no this fucking movie will ruin everything }: (

i actually thought the movie was pretty good.
dont judge it by the shitty previews, as i also thought it would suck. i went to watch it for teh lulz, and it ended up being pretty sick. Sure, it doesn't follow the anime's story to the dot, but i love how they changed everything to fit in a more futuristic world, instead of the old feudal overused stuff. The actor for Goku was actually good, too. not too bad considering they had to create a whole new personality in his teen years. I also really like some small stuff they changed, like how they put a blue streak in bulma's hair instead of her having a full blue hairdo. just give it a shot before you put it down.
Dragonball Evolution was indeed crap. But i dont care that Krillin was left out, the only good thing about him is destructio disc. But i do miss the others...
