I read somewhere about how Myspace has become the virtual ghetto to Facebook's suburbia. I think that's a pretty good metaphor.
I like that one...
That is a pretty good metaphor. And i was thinking the same thing as you just recently... i used to go on myspace a good amount but now i barely go on it ever. facebook just seems a lot cleaner to me.
People still use myspace?
Shit Facebook is getting old. Myspace was like 5 yrs ago.
Myspace has always sucked.
Haven't touched it in forever.
That why I never made a myspace! =3
never liked it
I don't see the point of these socializing networks...I mean all you do is send messages and post stupid videos on horrible pages that make your eyes bleed. I can understand if you use it for advertising but if you use it for fun...something not really right in the head with ya
its not you its me lol but yeah old ppl invaded
I agree. Myspace also is having a lot of glitches lately. Like it never tells me if I have new comments, , messages, or pic comments. I'M NOT GONNA CHECK EVRY PIC ALL THE TIME I NEED MYSPACE TO TELL ME!!!!
:'(
Huh wait. People still use myspace...? I mean I know bands use it, because that just makes sense for them (it sort of serves the same use as the version mp3.com that existed around the year 2000, IE a free way to distribute and track mp3 plays and listeners) but at least bands are in a sort of unspoken competition to have the coolest, most functional and uncluttered layouts, so even viewers without myspace accounts can take advantage of the band profiles.
user profiles, on the other hand, have almost always exclusively been a mish-mash nightmare of poorly selected skins, javascript mouse pointer replacements, CSS templates, animated gifs, emo-slogan-emblazoned headers, shite blog posts, and overall gaudy unnecessary animated shit that makes no sense.
A ghetto to facebook's suburbs, for certain... they were pretty late in the game with trying to implement the photo tagging system, for example, and even livejournal had the "mood" option over a decade before myspace tried to catch up with it.
Meh I dunno, I haven't even signed in in almost a year, but I guess it's not just me.
i thought myspace died like a couple years ago
myspace sucks facebook is better
