I'm sticking with Flash 8 still. Would be using 6 if it wasn't for the occasional use of filter effects!

I will agree I love 8 .. I started on Flash MX .. then went to 8. I miss 8.. Now I hate you Tom for reminding me of 8.. Have you no heart!!

9 beta is where it's at yo!

more of a disiplinary product if you ask me, if i even make a new scene, it fucks up on me

but i found a good balance, yep, not in denial at all

But you can't use Actionscript 3 with Flash 8 mr fulp D:

I still use 8

It's faster and my tablet PC doesn't have CS3 or CS4 and it doesn't have enough free space to install them so fuckit

I've got CS4 and it hardly ever has any problems...have you considered your system just can't handle it? Maybe it's because Flash is the dominant program on my computer...or maybe Flash can't handle you...

I have a decent computer and it still has issues.

It runs faster for me, Actions panel is still at the bottom, and the help section is available (and better documented). And I've had WAY less problems than Flash CS3.

Sounds like you need a fresh install.

I tried that 30 day free trial of cs3. Flash 8 is still unmatched.

Flash 8 is still the best in my opinion.

so wait, flash 8 is better then CS3 in your opinion?

Flash 8 was fast... Flaster then CS3 at least.

flaster?

damn you Adobe for giving slow products :'(

STICK WITH MACROMEDIA EVERYONE!

ha.. yes bring back Macromedia!

im also back on CS3....

I'm not a fan of the enormous new properties box..and its just cluttered now with things i dont need.

and because its made to fit on the right panel and you move it to the bottom it doesnt work well.. WTF???

Well, I liked it.
I guess I can't really choose between the two because CS4 is the first thing I got.
But, maybe it just works slow for your computer.

I can't get enough of Flash 8, it's my whole world.

I miss Flash 8. D: Oh, Macromedia, you were my one true love.

*gratuitous sex scene*

Ha, from the first hour of having CS4, I knew something was wrong and thous why I switched immediately back. It's good to know that there is someone out there other than myself, that will admit to making a bad purchase with CS4.

I had Flash 8 on a PC laptop, and every so often when I'd go to draw a line, it wouldn't draw the line at all or would just leave a dot. Then before I do ANYTHING ELSE, I have to wait a second or two for the brush to flash a white arrow in its place. If I don't and accidentally draw a line before letting it do that, the whole program crashes and I lose my work.

When I got my Mac, it refused to even open Flash, so I installed it through VMWare Fusion. I still get that brush-arrow-flash thing, but thankfully it doesn't crash anymore because of it.

I've thought about getting an upgrade so I wouldn't have to go through this Fusion song 'n dance anymore, but now I think I'll count my blessings and steer clear of the pokey new stuff.

I'm gritting my teeth and still trying with CS4, hoping I'll learn to love it in time...

Removing the help and the function to export as .esp was a great idea. Really. An fucking up the interface as well... I'd love to use Flash 8 still, but it is so damn slow on Mac.
