Dragon Ball and the Street Fighter curse!

I don't remember a movie in a while that is soo hated before it has even come out, but today DB Evolution was released. I am a DBZ fan. I like the anime, games, and so on. I am not a fanatic, but I enjoy them. Even I can't deny how awful the movie looks.. This makes the Street Fighter Movie look great.

A white guy as Goku. Master Roshi isn't even an old bald guy. Krillin and others are left out.. and from the previews, it just looks stupid.

Having said that Piccolo at least looks like his anime counterpart. So that maybe one positive .. and thats it so far.

Now I haven't even seen the movie.. and I may or may not, but after seeing the preview for the Video Game.. It just may have killed my desire.

What are your thoughts?

This movie has "shit" written all over it. It's a quickly made, under produced piece of crap that was made by people who have no idea what Dragonball really is. All they know is that Drangonball has a huge fan base and half of them are stupid enough to go and actually pay money to see this.

Now I'm not a huge fan either, I honestly can't stand most of the cartoon series, but the original mangas are amazing and one of the best comics I have ever read.

They should have used the original mangas as a storyboard like they did in sin city and gone ahead and started with the Z series Sayian Saga.

I'm usually not this pissed about something but i hate it when people take something good and manage to pop a fucking hemorrhoid all over it.

i saw this movie on the internet a while ago. as a DB movie, it sucked pretty hard. but as just a movie, it was alright. but it had the same overused plot as transformers and alot of other movies. "loser highschool student saves the world and gets the cool guys girlfriend".

Okay, let me get this straight. Master Roshi isn't even old, Yamcha is a pretty boy white fagot, they added some new character out of nowhere, and Piccolo without his antennas. Come on, you can't Piccolo with out his antennas! This isn't even Dragon-Ball Z anymore! Damn you Fox Movies! You took away Street Fighter, now DBZ! The game will be more like Tekken.

i downloaded and watched the movie,and actually read about it. before you start bashing it, you need to realize that the director is going off of his own script, i know its a bad idea, but the movie isn't actually far off. even though chow yun fat is roshi, he doesn't do that bad of a job. and even though goku is white, he is still an alien he landed on earth on an asteroid when he was a baby (the movies explanation) the movie is suprisingly accurate, i dont know about the visual effects but i didn't think they were all that bad, the actual movie is better than the trailer makes it out to be, even though the director did his own script, and he tried to modernize it, the movie actually manages to follow the story quite well.

From everything I've seen up to now, I most certainly am NOT impressed.

Haven't actually seen the whole film yet, though.
But I still think the lot of them failst it.
If I ever change my mind, it won't be anytime soon.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! First they made the DBE movie just to ruin the DBZ series for cash and now they did a remake of "Dragon Ball Z budokai" but as movie based and shittier, and you know the worst part of it? Yes, exactly! They threw away Tien and Krillin and added Bulma, Chi-Chi and Mai, NOBODY FUCKING USES MAI,CHI-CHI AND BULMA FOR DBZ GAMES OR WATCH THEM FIGHT IN THE CARTOON, EVER!!! So this game is about 10TIMES worst than the "Super Dragon Ball Z" game made by the producer of "Street Fighter II"(I have the game actually so I can play it SF style).
